Amarillo Attorney - Jeremi Young

Jeremi Young relocated to Amarillo in June of last year where he established a law firm in downtown’s Eagle Centre. Originally from Canadian, Texas, where his father still ranches, Jeremi graduated from Texas Tech in 1996 and from the University of Texas School of Law in 1999.

After 6 years practicing in a leading firm in Dallas, Jeremi, his wife Jill, also born and raised in Canadian, and their son Seth (now age 3) decided to move back to the Panhandle.

Jeremi’s practice, nation-wide in scope, focuses on Wage & Hour litigation, personal injury, medical malpractice and commercial litigation. He has handled or is handling several multi-state Wage & Hour class actions, collectively representing thousands of individuals.

In January 2006, Jeremi obtained a favorable ruling from the Wisconsin Supreme Court holding that the medical negligence claims of his client, a minor who suffers from cerebral palsy, are not subject to any statute of limitations.

The controversial ruling makes new law in the state and will have far-reaching ramifications for children whose injuries from medical negligence might have been discovered only after the three year limitations period applicable to adults.

Outside the office, Jeremi spends most of his waking hours working on or thinking about how to improve his back swing.

In August 2005 Jeremi and his wife celebrated their tenth anniversary.
